As
a result of numerous request by tenants who felt it was long overdue, Kenyasoko has registered an association to help our
tenants and their friends save for emergencies and obtain quick loans as need
arises.
The
program is registered as "Soko Tenants Association" see certificate
in the office.
The
program works as follows: There are two accounts. A savings account and a loan
account.
1. 1. Savings account: This is where you
record all your savings.
i.
Here you can deposit as little
as Ksh. 100 and as many times as you can even in one day.
ii.
All you do is in your MPESA go to Paybill and Enter 998514 then
in the Account Name Enter Your Soko User Name, enter your Amount and MPESA pin to complete the transaction.
iii.
To record your transaction in
your Account,
a)
Go to kenyasoko.com, log in
using your Soko Username and Pin and Log In.
b)
In the Menu, Select My Sacco
and on the window that opens, click on the Deposit
Form Button.
Fill in the window that opens your phone number and user pin (in case
you have forgotten it, you can get it from your profile) to log in.
In the next window enter the amount you have deposited and the MPESA Transaction
Number then submit. This will automatically update your account.
c)
Click on My Sacco from the menu and there you will see the deposits as you
have made in your account.
2. Loan account: This is where you apply
for a loan. Soko Association gives out more loan amounts than other regular SACCO
by adding part of your rent deposit to your savings. Plus you can ask your
friends for support to borrow even more.
3. To start savings go to kenyasoko.com
and click on My Sacco on top menu. Sign in and see the two accounts. Click on first button, where you see your
information. Send your payments to account given then record just as you do
with rent.
Call
Nick or Lyz on 0728308208 or 0728308388 for help, but get started.
Kenyasoko will add Ksh 500 to the first 200
depositors.
